The Office of:

Max Weissman LCMHC-S NCC

Welcome to My Practice

Hello, I’m Max Weissman, a dedicated therapist based in the beautiful city of Asheville, NC. With a deep passion for mental health, I am privileged to serve as a counselor, supervisor, and consultant.

Counseling Services: Personalized Support for Your Life

As a counselor, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and tailored support through individual, family, and couples counseling. My practice is grounded in creating a supportive and empathetic environment where clients feel heard and understood. I work with individuals of various ages, starting from 13, but my main focus is on young people aged 16 to 26. I am honored to be a guide, and support clients \ during this unique and challenging stage of life I take a client-centered approach to counseling, focusing on helping you be your true self (not about being bigger, stronger, or better). I provide a safe, nurturing space where individuals can openly explore their thoughts & feelings, build self-awareness, and tackle the unique challenges they face.

I am in-network with Aetna, and BlueCross-BlueShield, and accept private pay. Prior to taking on any new clients, I like to first meet for a free consultation to discuss goals and assess "fit".

Supervision: Mentoring the Next Generation of Therapists

As a licensed Supervisor of Counselors in North Carolina, I am deeply committed to the mentorship and professional development of emerging therapists. Guiding new professionals through the early stages of their careers is a responsibility I take to heart. Through a collaborative and individualized approach, I focus on helping each therapist build confidence, refine their therapeutic techniques, and develop a strong professional identity. My goal is to ensure that the next generation of mental health professionals is not only well-prepared to meet the challenges of the field but is also inspired to make a lasting and meaningful impact in the lives of their clients.

Consultation: Shaping the Future of Mental Health Programs

My consultation work is focused on program development within the mental health field. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with private and public schools, universities, and a variety of private organizations. Whether it’s designing new programs, improving existing structures, or offering strategic guidance, I am committed to helping organizations create environments where mental health can flourish. If you’re looking to enhance your mental health initiatives or start something new, let’s connect and explore how we can make a meaningful impact together.
